Wearied by wickedness

Nephi forsook the judgment seat because he was waited by the wickedness of the people. I wonder if we would ever see someone forsake public office (whether as a judge or some other position) because they were wearied by the wickedness within the system. Of course it seems that the Nephites were more wicked in that day than we yet are. This was during the time when the Nephites are so wicked that their historic capital was in the hands of the Lamanites and they weren’t strong enough to reclaim it because of their wickedness.
