We have no record of Christ asking his apostles in Palestine what they would want from him but we do know that like the three Nephites John desired and was granted life on earth until the second chiming of the Lord. (I wonder if any of the four of them knew that would be thousands of years.)
I wonder what their desires were if Christ did ask them – because if He did they didn’t receive the same promise that the Nephite disciples received. Genetically the two desires are too be assured of a place with Christ and to be able to bring others to Christ as much as possible.
