Nephi called to build a ship

After arriving in the land the called Bountiful Nephi was in an interesting position. Lehi was the leader of the group and for ask the information we have here may not have received any indication that their journey want complete. After many days Nephi was called to go to a mountain where he was given the task that would enable them to complete their journey. In many ways this is where Nephi begins to inherit the leading role in the group although he certainly deferred to Lehi until Lehi died.
