Things which have no spirit, no agency, and no accountability are here for us to do with as we choose. They bear no responsibility for the outcome of our choices. We can’t blame dynamite for exploding when we apply the charge to it. We can’t blame the rock for falling when we undercut it. If we undercut it unknowingly we can learn from our mistake but we can’t blame the rock. We can learn the wrong lesson or the right one, but we can’t blame the rock.
