The reason that Abinadi didn’t know his fate was that while Good could see the outcome it wasn’t foreordained that Noah and his priests would kill Abinadi. They had agency and the opportunity to free him and repent. The Lord wouldn’t reveal what they would do because he was preserving their opportunity to choose right. If Abinadi knew the outcome would be have dismissed the one honest question from the one impressionable priest who was willing to repent?
Would Alma have learned his effort to have Noah free Abinadi if Abinadi knew and testifies that they would condemn him to a martyrs fate?
