While we are told that if all men were like Moroni the powers of hell would be shaken, if we pay attention we can see that he had his share of human faults, not the least of which was his tendency to rush to judgement and be demanding of others. He was humble enough to be corrected when necessary but he was a bit hot-headed. Those who knew his character, such as Pahoran surely did, would be less likely to feel animosity toward him when receiving a scolding such as he’s delivered to Pahoran.
