When the voice of Christ came to the people at the time of the destruction the people understood the voice the first time. After the hours of silence they understood when it came again, but with all the silence that is too be expected. When Heavenly Father some as they were gathered in the land Bountiful and conversing about Christ they didn’t initially understand the voice they were hearing. Was that because he started out simply getting their attention rather than trying to convey information before they had assumed their ears to hear?
