Nephite Genocide

In introducing Mormon 1-6 Sister Julie Nelson spoke about human responses to genocide. It struck me that the destruction of the Nephites was exactly that – genocide. I’d never thought of it from that perspective before. That absolutely explains the motivations of the Lamanites. No matter how few survivors there were they would not be satisfied without the complete annihilation of their enemies.
