The reasoning of God

I’ve heard people say that it was unnecessary for the Lord to tell Lehi that the people sought his life – that Lehi was already aware of the threat. It’s possible that he wasn’t, or that he wasn’t aware of the severity of the threat. In the other hand, it’s possible that the Lord had other reasons to state something Lehi knew. He may have been confirming to Lehi that He was aware or He may have started that as a reason for His following command to leave. Just because Lehi likely knew didn’t mean that the communication had no purpose.
