Nephi’s beginning

His response to the dream of his father may have marked the beginning of Nephi becoming a prophet in his own right. I had never before noticed the connection that after telling his dream Lehi prophesied concerning the Messiah and the forerunner of the Messiah. Considering Nephi’s experience we can surmise that Lehi had done explanation for his dream just as Nephi would later receive.
