If I could give someone one chapter to draw their conclusions about the character of God it would be 2 Nephi 9. Her Jacob clearly outlined the plan of redemption including some important details that site the merciful nature of the plan’s author. Pondering these verses inevitably leads a local person to conclude that God is a loving and merciful being even as He executes judgement in righteousness.
