After three days of waiting there was a part of me that feared that Chandler would have a change of heart and not show up today. She showed up promptly at 7:15. Emma wanted nothing to do with her but eventually she warmed up to Chandler. She saw how the morning operated and filled out her I-9 form (I finally asked for it in a timely manner – a first for employer David) plus we talked about payment schedule and I showed her the various friends’ house in the neighborhood. I paid her for today’s time and then she left.
In the afternoon a cleaning crew came in to clean the house – it’s amazing to see the appliances shiny again and the toilets all white. I was happy to write a check for that. I also got my final tax document today and turned those papers over to Bill. He sent me a draft of my tax forms within the last hour. Once we send him the verification info that the IRS now asks for (they beefed to security this year) we’ll have tax refunds coming our way.
In the evening I talked to Alyssa about her coven that there wasn’t enough variety in her life (social especially) and that we needed to talk about how to reestablish trust. I got dinner on the table in a timely manner and then we started a family movie they Laura had provided. She had purchased The Music Man and a box of Nutty Buddies. Aside from some Isaac-Enoch friction it was well received by those who watched (not sure much the younger three). I left in the middle of it to see Laura.
Laura also had a very productive day. She worked on her they journal and made sure to eat regular meals. I stopped by to see her for a minute at noon and then got a longer visit after 8.
