We decided to let Tiesha do a trial day. Laura told me that Chandler had asked for Thursday off so we set the trial day for Thursday. It would be ironic if Chandler asking for a day off opened the door for us to identify her replacement.
I barely got to see Laura on this Valentine’s day. She came to the house for a few minutes before I left for Isaac’s basketball game. We managed bedtime and rushed out. After doing Isaac at home after the game I rushed down to Mom’s house and had about 15 minutes to talk to Laura before she went to bed. It was more than a little disappointing when she declined a goodnight kiss while making the claim that I have been uninterested for a few days and so she’s not interested now. Declining the kids would have been fine but that claim is disturbing because I see no basis for it – I have been generally as interested in her as is normal (in other words, interested but also rational when needed).
