After work I took the kids to look at bunnies so that we could practice handling them and see about finding some where their temperament was good for us. My plan was to dip the toes in the water and keep the kids feeling that we were moving forward. When we got to the Farmington Petco we saw the perfect looking bunnies that were sociable, well mannered, and patient. They looked and acted exactly like I would have hoped for our pets. I learned that they are all female (no surprise mating) and fairly young (so we would have them for a few years rather than a short time) and their adoption fee was a fraction of other places. By the end of the evening I agreed with the kids to buy a hutch, set it up in the morning, and come back to adopt these bunnies as soon as they return to the Petco tomorrow.
After a relatively short visit with Laura I came home to go to bed only to have her call me in a near panic feeling that someone was with her in the apartment. I went back over and gave her a blessing then I stayed until nearly midnight so that she could fall asleep comfortably.
