Laura stalled

First things first, we adopted the three rabbits that we saw last night. The kids have spent lots of time that holding/petting/watching them. The fact that they need to be held/played with daily is a core that everyone is willing to do. Mariah is still pushing for me to attend another $100 to get her set up with her own guinea pig but other than that I think we in a fairly stable pretty position as a family.

As for Laura stalling – she was struggling yesterday and today with low energy and high anxiety. We were talking this evening and she admitted that she doesn’t see a path for her to come home and be part of normal life. I explained to her that the lack of vision was the cause of the fatigue. I talked about how important it was for her to come to know herself and her particular strengths, weaknesses, and needs. I explained that the reason she needed to avoid thinking about the kids right now is because she needs to focus on her needs first until she has an active and sustained vision of how she can fit in. I didn’t get to finish telling her how that kind of vision and personal insight comes as a result of active experimentation and why I see getting a job as being the best path for her to pursue that course. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish that conversation with her tomorrow.
