I have no reserves to deal gracefully when kids (Isaac, Enoch, Alyssa primarily) push too hard against my directions or rules. Even without those kinds of hiccups I rush from one thing to the next. After sacrament meeting I went to the special teachers class but had to leave early in time to get to Bill’s church for Daniels blessing. I got to chat with Laura at her apartment on my way back and got to church just in time to pick the kids up. The Sunday school class was awesome even with my short stay there. I gained good insights about the need to focus on individuals and the need to invite class members to take some specific action based on the lesson.
Notes
Our teaching should be building testimony and sharing experiences more then disseminating information.
I do pretty good about getting discussions but I could do better at inviting to action.
The individual was always the focus of what the Savior did. He met each individual wherever they were and never let “the schedule” or “the agenda” trump the needs of an individual.
Preparation is an ongoing thing. The more we are prepared the better we can be about listening to the Spirit and ministering to the one who has a need in the moment.
