The temple at Zerahemla

I wonder if the temple at Zerahemla was built by the Mulekites or of that was built after the Nephites had joined them. I suspect the latter because the Mulekites went led by a prophet when they fled Jerusalem. They might only have thought about survival which would explain why they had lost so much knowledge by the time Mosiah found them there in Zerahemla.
