Those who have ignorantly sinned

As I read tonight about the Atonement covering those who have ignorantly sinned I realized that this was not a reference to those who sin while ignorant of the gospel – they are covered by the inclusion of those who did not knowing the will of God concerning them. That phrase refers to those are unaware that they have sinned even though they do know the gospel – like consuming alcohol in a dessert because you didn’t know it contained alcohol.
