Planning

Perhaps instead of withdrawing I need to proactively make plans. To do that we need to inject a dose of reality for Laura. Someone needs to get it through her head that she can’t just go all fit what she wants while insisting that getting what she wants must be accomplished without her making changes. She needs to decide whether she would rather make more money or whether she would rather spend less. There is no option of “spend more but get someone else to supply the cash.”

Today she tells me she’s like to offer to reward the kids with a trip to Disneyland late in the year. She can’t accept that we don’t have the means to save $500/month in order to pay for it. She can’t figure out that burning through $900/week makes people not inclined to give more. And all that was before we got the letter from Lakeview asking is to help them collect the $29,000 for her hospital stay
