The revelations that are the most spiritually significant seem never to be the answers to the questions that were first asked, but rather are the answers that are given because if faith to questions that someone never considered asking before the revelation.
Joseph wanted to know what church to join and was shown Heavenly Father and Jesus much like the brother of Jared wanted to know how to light the boats and was shown the spirit body of Christ.
