After all the stress and trouble at the well leading up to today we finally had the baptism along with the party and the play (Peter Pan). I was so thrilled that the baptism went smoothly and Enoch didn’t balk at standing in front of everyone. The peace was strongest as we stood confirming him and the Spirit was strong and clear in giving him the blessing. I also really appreciated Bishop’s remarks after the confirmation. He taught that we recognize when the Holy Ghost comes and we recognize when the Holy Ghost leaves but that when we don’t have the Holy Ghost with us we soon forget what it feels like to have Him with us. He also noted that the purpose of all the daily practices that we teach such as prayer and scripture study are for the purpose of remembering Christ and inviting the Holy Ghost to be with us because He only comes where He is invited.
From that point I had no stress while we were invaded by dozens of well wishers. We even had Noelle bring along a friend, Brock, who seemed very nice. (I’m trying not to speculate whether that will be a lasting relationship – but he seemed very nice and quiet at ease among the family.)
I found that Peter Pan was even better than I had anticipated. All in all a very good day.
