I enjoyed day 1 of the Silicon Slopes Tech Summit for work today then late in the afternoon I caught Trax up to the airport where Andy and Marsh returned from Odessa, Ukraine.
I never recorded the fact that in December (the 19th as I recall) we got a visit from DCFS again due to an allegation that I had kicked Enoch. The visit included a private interview with Enoch and some brief questions for me. Thankfully Laura want home that evening but it still ruined her entire Christmas break with that investigation hanging over our heads. It destroyed the last of our trust in the school authorities. I bring that up today because as I was walking toward the international terminal I got a call from our caseworker (who we never heard from in the month since the report). She was very pleasant, asking if we had any problems and if Enoch was in counseling. She then asked if there was anything they could do for us before she closed the case. I’m grateful that she closed it without so much as a home visit or interviewing Laura. Maybe that’s because I gave the woman who first responded information on our existing counseling with Dr Empey. Whatever the case, we’ve survived another faulty accusation to DCFS.
