About the time the Blue and Gold banquet ended Alyssa walked away from Mom’s house. Over the next two hours I was driving Enoch and Savannah to Lehi and rehearsal respectively. That should have been ample time for Alyssa to return but she didn’t. I spent another hours in Mom’s neighbors searching for her. Just so I was ready to call the police to report her as a runaway Mariah called to say that Alyssa had been at our house for two hours.
We had a long talk in the car when I took her back to Mom’s house. I explained to her that the precision demanded by Grandma will reach her lessons that she desperately leaves. I also told her that I hoped this family separation would be of minimal duration.
