At 8:40 this morning Mariah called me to tell me that the bunnies had escaped from the outdoor pen I had constructed again on Saturday. I told her there was nothing I could do from work. The truth is that I prayed. I asked that we not have a repeat of Spice, that if we lost the bunnies we wouldn’t later find one or both dead. When I got home from work I asked about their status – Coconut had been found in the back yard but we still have not found Sugar. My day finished with the adventure of getting the trailer from Steve’s house. I had Savannah drive down in the van. When we arrived she left the lights on in the van and when I pointed that out she discovered that she had also locked the keys inside the van. We had to wait there while Laura drove down with extra keys. Then we discovered that the plug for the trailer was mangled and I drove the trailer home on the freeway at 11PM with no lights on the trailer – through construction.
We survived. Enough said.
