Last night President Nelson announced that elders and high priests would begin meeting in a single quorum under a single presidency. Today he followed that up with the announcement of a new program of ministering that replaces home teaching and visiting teaching. I’m very excited about those changes – if done right the church will become very much more effective in meeting the needs of people.
In our family we had 5 kids at home today for conference and we tried a new tradition of having various treats tied to various topics and when those topics were spoken of we could have the associated treats. I’m planning to try some massages to the way we do that but we are clearly looking at forming better patterns of interactions so that our family becomes a safe place for everyone.
