I have always wanted to be a high priest, to claim the blessings Alma outlines. With the reorganization of the Melchizedek Priesthood quorums we are taught that it isn’t the office of high priest but rather the ordination to any Melchizedek priesthood office (seeing as they didn’t have the same structured offices in Alma’s day). Even having learned that I know I have wished for the ordination to high priest because I felt it would validate that I have solidified myself spiritually in a way that I don’t yet feel I have but I’ll know I can and should.
