Rewards for alms

Whoever you seek to impress with your alms (family, friends, general public, God, the receiver of the alms) the reward will be whatever they see fit to offer. If we want the reward to be what Heavenly Father offers then our intent must be to be seen by him without regard to the opinions of other. With an eye single to His glory we will seek to do alms in the way He would want them done rather than whatever way the world may suggest is best (which doesn’t always line up with what is best). The same principle holds for praying and fasting.
