As I hear of Lehi’s dream where his eldest son’s would not he’s him I think on the fact that any decent father, no matter how little light he may have, will invite his children toward anything he had found to be good. If his life is full of sorrow he is more likely to let them wander aimlessly than he is to invite them to follow in his footsteps. That is simply the nature of a father’s desire for his children.
