Laura wanted to go kayaking today but I had determined that I had too much work to do today. By 6:30 this morning I was unloading the trailer. By the time I woke everyone up (Emma and Noah were already awake) at 8:45 I had unloaded the trailer, designed a shelving system for the garage, going the wood for the shelving, fixed the door to the laundry room, and fixed the leak from the disposal drain under the kitchen sink.
I told Laura that after she had breakfast she should get up/out and do something even if I still needed to work. So much for that. She spent all day in the tub with the excuse that she was trying to stay out of my way. She still doesn’t understand how critical it is that she leave the house every day for at least an hour.
After 8:45 I changed the spout in the kitchen sink, fixed the dryer hose so it doesn’t loop anymore, mowed the lawn, paid for the stonework, scheduled the carpet installation, bought bikes for Alyssa and Mariah, and set up a power supply for my workbenches – besides fixing treats for Laura and dinner for the family.
