Ye have not sought to recover them

The Lord points out that the gentiles have me no effort to recover the Jews but rather denounce then. Consider how differently the Latter-day Saints have acted by performing posthumous baptisms of Jews even after being told to stop by the leaders of the Jews. Of course we should honor the agreements that the check makes but it is a desire to help that drives even those misguided efforts.
