The king of the Lamanites was justifiably angry but in acting rashly he put this life at risk while lashing out at the wrong people. Limhi had the chance to be similarly rash. Had he chosen that path he might have lost his life or even completely destroyed his people. Instead he chose to talk to the king of the Lamanites and understand the injustice he had perpetrated. Both their lives were saved and peace restored as a result.
