The reaction of the Nephites to the miracle of the sign of Christ’s birth is typical of how people react to something that shakes them up and binds them together – they seek righteousness in short season and have peace but it doesn’t last unless they are already fundamentally seeking after righteousness already. The same thing happened after 9/11.
