I have two questions in my mind over this chapter tonight. First, is the double scattering of the children of Lehi a pattern among the Jews? That is too say, what their path of being scattered once as they were leaving away and later scattered in their new place by gentiles (not necessarily 2000 years later and not necessarily by gentiles who moved in after the fact) something that we would often find repeated in the history of other groups broken of from Israel and various times in history? I see a similar scattering due to gentile influences of European Jews in the 1930’s and 40’s for example.
Secondly, I wonder if Nephi stopped his explanation to his brothers because he was about to begin revealing some of the things he was told were reserved to be recorded by the Apostle John.
