What would bring about the prophecy of houses with no man? Physical war, especially anciently, could result in the widespread death of men. Spiritual war could result in men abandoning their families and the houses they should occupy. Cultural war could strip the masculinity from the male populous. We’ve seen all three to one degree or another.
