Polygamy

I never realized before that Jacob indicates that the practice of seeking concubines was among the sins of the people of Jerusalem. I also realized how clearly polygamy is not sanctioned in general practice. We can’t look to church history or some theory of plural marriage in heaven to argue that out current state of monogamy is temporary any society that practices polygamy without the gospel is in error and any society with the gospel will rarely practice polygamy – and when they do it will likely be temporary.
