Enos speaks of the efforts of the Nephites to restore the Lamanites to the true faith being in vain. As he says that it sounds just like what Jacob said at the end of his record. Since this was after the story of Enos having his sins forgiven I feel that their statements are referring to the same efforts at reclaiming the Lamanites. In other words, Enos having his wrestle too place while Jacob was still alive.
