After seeing Christ born to Mary the angel asked Nephi if he understood the meaning of the Tree of Life. Nephi said that he understood it to be the love of God. I don’t know if that meaning was given in a spiritual way that he didn’t record it if he simply had a greater understanding to draw that connection but I would not have made such a connection without being directed to that answer in some way. Likewise we will not always understand the things of the Spirit save we have been prepared to receive them. We should always consider that others may not be prepared to see and understand all the things that we have come to be able to recognize as true.
