Alma’s advantage

The fact that sons had been asking the priests of King Noah probably have him an advantage that Abinadi hadn’t enjoyed – he would have known the means by which Noah gathered information along his people. That knowledge probably allowed Alma to more effectively work in secret than Abinadi could have done. Eventually his movement got big enough that keeping hidden want truly possible but with his knowledge and connections Alma was able to escape before the king captured his people.
