Coordinated efforts

I worked from home today to make time for a visit with Laura’s therapist. We had a great visit where I she’d some light on how things are going at home. Among the things we talked about she asked about Noah and his stealing. She concluded that he should have therapy – preferably from a school therapist so that I wouldn’t need to take him to appointments. I’m the evening I went to parent teacher conferences for the four youngest and Noah’s teacher had noticed that his behavior had really deteriorated in the classroom over the last few weeks – that stands as confirmation that he needs some help. His teacher suggested that he might benefit from the academic rigor of ALL (gifted program here) if he could/would abide by the behavioral expectations. We should get him tested for that.

Gratitude

  • A therapist who knows to get outside perspective.
  • A teacher who is trying to be adaptable
  • A day to put this all together
