Outcome of reforging the Miller Family

  • Outcomes

    • Each person have a sense of who they are and how they can function in the world.
    • Greater sense of loyalty to the family.
    • More desire for elevated things – things of more lasting value than base books or FPS games.
    • Greater understanding and practice of healthy life habits (eating/exercise/sleep habits)
    • Strong foundation to enable exponential growth.
  • What would success feel/taste like?
    • Peace in the home
    • Peace in the heart of each individual
    • People treat each other with kindness
    • People ask for help instead of exploding
    • Kids gravitate towards enriching activities
    • We feel safe letting people go out socially
    • The house stays fairly clean and people participate in cleaning easily and regularly
    • Meals are consistent and usually complete (rarely 1 dish)

      • Working when parents request it

    • Chores: family areas as assigned

      • bike rides (Dad 3 per week)
      • cooking (2 meals per week each for Mom and Dad)
      • family movies (1 per week for Mom & 2 per week for Dad)
      • monthly mini vacay (at least while dad is home)
      • reading together (Mom responsible – 5 times per week)
      • weekly project (Dad)
      • accounting of quarters
      • two business items per week for Mom.
    • Schedule
      • Family areas each morning (starting at 8:30)
      • Laura day off on Tuesday for new Hunger Games book.
