While Moroni wouldn’t attack the Lamanites while they were drunk I can just imagine what Ammon would have done if he had thought of the same strategy.

I’m confident that one he had his enemies drunk he might well have armed the prisoners first but having dinner so he would then have fallen upon his incapacitated enemies rather that exhibiting any restraint.
