I learned earlier this week that Norma’s family was visiting for their last goodbyes as her body was no longer processing food (as of the 20th I understand). Thus I have been expecting to hear of her passing ever since. The word came this morning that she passed at 2AM. Grandpa has apparently said that he lost his companion back when she lost her mental capacity. He seems glad to not have to deal with her needs in addition to his own (his physical capacity is very low and his mental capacity is diminishing too).
I hope that Mom and her siblings can come to good arrangements for his continued care now that Norma won’t have someone living at their house with them.
On an unrelated note, Savannah reports that she’s feeling sick and will be tested for covid-19 tomorrow (her second test since this started) and we just got word that Emma was exposed on the last day of class before Thanksgiving so she has to stay home from school until the 9th or until she gets a clean test. We’ll be testing her on Tuesday (7 day lag between exposure and testing). Hopefully she’s back at school on Friday.
