The phrase “if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work” clearly indicates that there is no shortage of labor. That fact can make it all the more falling when I have desires to serve and yet in the last 9 years I have had a calling for less than 4 of them. Makes a person feel worthless.
I need to get off of that pity party but I also hope to get and keep a calling at some point and become a regular church member again rather than a service project that few people even really know.
