Joseph’s timeline

Joseph was seventeen when his brothers turned against him. It’s possible some little time passed before they sold him into slavery but if he was eighteen by then that’s likely the limit we can’t know how long he was with Potiphar before being imprisoned but he was with Potiphar long enough to be put in charge and in prison long enough to be put in charge before he was twenty eight. At 28 he interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s servants. He languished two more years before he interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh at age thirty. Before the seven years of plenty were over he had his two sons.
