Two things stood out to me. First, the Lord knew that the people would come to abandon His law and made provision that they should remember his prophecy regarding that in the form of a children’s song. Second, that desire being 120 years old Moses was still hale and hearty when the people entered the promised land even though he was not allowed to enter and “died” on the mountain outside the land.
