Church leading to wickedness

Alma’s experience if watching the example of those in the church leading those outside the church on to greater and greater wickedness makes me imagine what it would be like today to see members of the church leading others towards iniquity. I’m sure in Alma’s day and ours that the reality was that the leaders of the church (Alma and the majority of teachers and protests) were still teaching righteousness but that too many of the members in the church leaf the drift toward wickedness.
