Christy Hoopes told of having been arguing with God about something. One day she felt the promoting to give over and allow God to make more of her than she could imagine. It was when she relented that she became a teacher at American Fork High. Either she became a great teacher because she listened or else she had the makings of a great teacher but saw herself as something else. I don’t know (or care) which of those is the truth but I am grateful for her influence on two of my children so far through that role.
Megan Vargason used a sports analogy to describe receiving the Holy Ghost “have we practiced enough that our actions are automatic” to be where we need to be to receive them Holy Ghost. (Other parts of the analogy included being familiar with the quarterback, the game plan, the ball, etc.)
The companionship of the Holy Ghost will make what is good more attractive.

Ben Hoopes noted that to truly be a sacrifice it should come from something we have to give up—not just from our abundance. (Nobody should be giving up food or other survival needs, we still have to ensure that we have our own mask on first as it were.)
