I’m not blaming the Lamanite king but i wonder if there was a better way that he could have handled the division among his people before he died. Knowing that certain cities had converted while others had rejected the message of Aaron and his brethren, was there a way he could confirm the kingdom of only the converted lands on his son Anti-Nephi-Lehi and then allowed the other lands to have a leader from among them such that they were not under the rule of someone they fundamentally disagreed with.
If he had tried something like that might it have prevented bloodshed?
