It seems to me that the Lord offered repentance to Coriantumr because relative to others of the Jaredites in his day he was righteous. As the story is written it is not entirely clear but I believe Coriantumr did not participate in secret combinations. On the other hand, he was not a righteous king, just a king who was free of that important sin.
