Being wise is good unless we let it lead us to think we do not need God. Having wealth is only a danger to us if we set our hearts upon our riches rather than looking to the poor and needy that we could reach.
Humility protects us from becoming full of ourselves, our wants, our possessions and forgetting our brothers and sisters and our Savior.
